JENNYHAUS GROUP HOUSE

The Jennyhaus one of the most beautiful group accommodations in eastern Switzerland. In both winter and summer, it is the ideal place to stay for clubs, school classes, families, groups of friends, and anyone looking to combine their stay with the world of sound. Nestled in the picturesque Toggenburg countryside, the newly renovated Jennyhaus is the perfect base. Whether for celebrations, music rehearsals, or traditional school and group camps, its location near Lake Schwendisee, the Klanghaus, and the mountain railways offers a magnificent view of the Churfirsten and Säntis mountains. Hiking trails, ski slopes, and numerous leisure activities are in the immediate vicinity. The Jennyhaus tradition and modernity and is ready to welcome up to 50 guests in its new splendor.

Detailed information

General

On the east side of the first floor there are spacious lounges and the kitchen. The western part of the first floor and the entire upper floor contain 16 two- to six-bed rooms and bunks as well as four bathrooms with toilets and showers. Further bathrooms, the laundry room and a storage room with dehumidifier (for skis, hiking boots, etc.) are located in the basement. This is accessible via a separate entrance.

Appliances:
Induction stove with 5 hobs, gastronomy dishwasher, 2 ovens with steamer function, 2 refrigerators (1 with freezer compartment), large freezer in the basement.

Kitchen appliances:
Blender, hand blender, toaster, scales, Nespresso machine (for standard capsules).

Coffee machine:
Nespresso machine (for standard capsules). Please bring your own preferred capsules.

Textiles & consumables:
3 drying cloths, 3 sponges, garbage bags.

Cleaning agents:
Dishwashing detergent, all-purpose cleaner, kitchen cleaner and the necessary cleaning utensils (mop, bucket, etc.).


Room

One fixed sheet and one pillow are provided per person. On request, a comforter with cover (CHF 5 / person) and/or a shower towel (CHF 5 / person) can also be rented.


Wet rooms / toilets

Toilet paper, soap and paper towels are available.


Games

A small selection of popular board games is stored in the ridge chamber and can be used.


Sports and leisure equipment

The flat meadow right next to the Jennyhaus can be used as a football pitch or for other activities. There is currently no ping-pong table or table football.


Fireplace / barbecue

A charcoal grill is available and can be used (please bring your own charcoal).
There is no fireplace directly at the Jennyhaus . Alternatives are available at Schwendisee, approx. 10 minutes' walk away.

House rules

House finches

Thank you for changing into slippers in the checkroom. If your shoes are very dirty, you can use the entrance in the basement and leave them in the drying room.

Smoking

Smoking is permitted outside. You will find ashtrays in the house. Please only empty them when there is no longer any risk of fire. Smoke and fire are to be avoided throughout the house. The lighting of candles or similar is prohibited in all bedrooms. Please refrain from doing anything that could pose a fire hazard.

Pets

Out of consideration for all guests and the surrounding area, we ask that you do not bring any animals into the house or onto the grounds.

Consideration for neighbors

Please be considerate of our neighbors and understand the agricultural use of the surrounding area. We are happy if there is no more loud music or noise outside after 10 pm.
The surrounding meadows are mowed and used for animals - thank you for your care with waste and for not stepping on the meadows.

Damage

Please report any damage to us. As a rule, the house user's liability insurance will cover the costs of repairs.

Parking lots

3 vehicles can be parked in front of the house (east side). For up to 6 more vehicles there is a free parking lot 5 minutes walk away.

Final cleaning

You will receive a detailed checklist on arrival.

General

  • Check-out until 10.00 am
  • Remove the bed linen and deposit it with the towels near the main entrance on the first floor (note: the mattress protector is similar to a fitted sheet. This MUST remain on the mattress!)
  • Check all rooms and cupboards for personal belongings
  • Close windows and switch off lights
  • Dispose of waste according to the waste plan
  • Empty all waste garbage cans (room, kitchen, ridge chamber, living room)
  • Deposit waste in the garbage bag in the outdoor container
  • Cleaning products can be found in the cleaning cupboard in the kitchen

Kitchen

  • Leave the kitchen clean; store dishes and cutlery neatly
  • The cleaning of the kitchen is not included in the price of the final cleaning and must be carried out by you. Subsequent cleaning will be charged at cost
  • Empty and clean the dishwasher before departure
  • Empty the refrigerator and freezer compartment completely
  • Empty and clean the water tank and coffee capsule container

Cleaning of the kitchen / post-cleaning can also be taken over by Berg & Bett on request, CHF 65 / hour.

Around the Jennyhaus

Returns must be made in person at the time agreed at check-in. In the event of non-compliance with the check-out regulations, we reserve the right to subsequently charge a corresponding compensation.

Arrival

The Jennyhaus reached by public transport in combination with mybuxi or by private vehicle. Access is guaranteed even during the ski season. It is also possible to arrive by coach (50 seats).

We recommend traveling by public transport to the "Lisighaus" post stop in Unterwasser. From there, you can Jennyhaus reach the Jennyhaus with the mybuxi shuttle. Please reserve your trip with mybuxi in advance.


Parking lots

A maximum of 4 vehicles can be parked directly at the house.

A free parking lot for up to 6 additional vehicles is available around 5 minutes' walk away.

If you are arriving with more vehicles, please park them at the Hotel Säntis Lodge in Unterwasser. The parking spaces there are free of charge, but registration is required.

    The group is responsible for cleaning the kitchen and making and stripping the beds.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of changes, rebookings, or cancellations, the following cancellation fees will be charged (as a percentage of the trip price), unless otherwise specified in the contract:

  • From the booking date until 120 days before arrival: 10%, min. CHF 100.00
  • 119 to 43 days before arrival: 50% of the tour price, min. CHF 100.00
  • 42 to 10 days before arrival: 80% of the tour price, min. CHF 100.00

In the event of a late cancellation or failure to show up for the trip: 100% of the trip price

Changes in the number of guests

Any changes to the number of guests must be reported to Berg & Bett in writing Berg & Bett early Berg & Bett , but no later than 30 days before arrival. The number of guests reported prior to arrival and Berg & Bett by Berg & Bett is generally used to calculate the price.

If there are more guests than confirmed

If the number of guests exceeds the number listed in the reservation confirmation, the rental price will be recalculated based on the actual number of guests.

If there are fewer guests than confirmed

  • Up to 20 days before arrival
    Changes to the number of guests will be accommodated at no additional cost. The rental price will be recalculated based on the new number of guests.
  • 19 to 7 days prior to arrival
    Reductions in the number of guests up to a maximum of 30% of the originally registered number of people will be recalculated.
  • Starting 6 days before arrival
    The rental price remains unchanged based on the confirmed number of guests.
    Additional costs based on the number of guests (e.g., linens, visitor’s tax, or other services billed per person) will be calculated based on the actual number of guests.

Changes in the number of guests during the stay

If individual guests arrive later or depart earlier than originally indicated, the rental price will be reduced by a flat rate of CHF 10 per person per unoccupied night.

The actual number of nights stayed per person is what counts. This rule applies only if the changes are reported on-site and the minimum rental rate is not undercut.
